April 28th, 2026 — In Saracinesche, Giuseppe Stampone’s (CRF 2017) “shutters force us to confront what we can no longer see, or what we choose not to see: what remains behind, covered but not erased, like a memory that persists beneath the opaque surface of the present, ready to resurface but increasingly difficult to reach” (Iliaria Bernardi).
The visual artist’s new solo exhibition fits seamlessly into his ongoing exploration of the mechanisms of power, educational dynamics, and the systems of knowledge production and transmission. His use of the Bic pen, a humble and universally widespread tool, once again becomes a political gesture.
Saracinesche is on view now through May 29th at Prometeo Gallery in Milan, Italy. Learn more at prometeogallery.com.
