September 3, 2026 — Wantanee Siripattananuntakul (CRF 2025) has won the 2026 Silpathorn Award for Visual Arts, an honor bestowed upon outstanding mid-career Thai contemporary artists by Thailand’s Ministry of Culture’s Office of Contemporary Art and Culture.
The annual award recognizes artists whose sustained creative practices have made significant contributions to contemporary art in Thailand and internationally. Wantanee is among seven artists selected for the 2026 award, representing fields including visual art, architecture, literature, music, performing arts, design, and film and moving image.
The Silpathorn Award recognizes artists for their creative achievement, dedication, and contributions to the development and dissemination of contemporary art. Each recipient receives a commemorative pin and a cash award.
