Isabella Hammad is the author of The Parisian, Enter Ghost, and Recognizing the Stranger. Her novels have received a Palestine Book Award, the Sue Kaufman Prize, the Aspen Prize, the Clark Prize, and the Encore Award, among other honors, and her work has been supported by the Lannan Foundation, the Institute for Ideas and Imagination, and the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library. She has taught literature and creative writing at Brown University, Al Quds Bard College, and New York University, where she is currently a Writer in Residence.
