Lina Attalah is a journalist from Cairo. She is the co-founder and publisher of Mada Masr, a leading independent media source in Egypt. She has been covering the region since 2000, working with teams of reporters to build knowledge and understanding of current events.
Isabella Hammad is the author of the novels The Parisian and Enter Ghost, and the short nonfiction book Recognizing the Stranger. She has taught literature and creative writing at Brown University, Al Quds Bard College, and New York University, where she is currently a Writer in Residence. Her new novel, Our Names, will be published next summer.
