Matvei Yankelevich is a poet, translator, and a founding editor of Ugly Duckling Presse. His books include Some Worlds for Dr. Vogt, Alpha Donut, and Boris by the Sea. He has published translations of Elena Guro, Daniil Kharms, Osip Mandelstam, Vladimir Mayakovsky, and Alexander Vvedensky, among others. He has been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and the National Endowment for Humanities. He teaches translation and book arts at Columbia University’s School of the Arts.
