Matvei Yankelevich (CRF 2021) shared his recent news with us. Matvei has just launched his own small press, Winter Editions. The first three books will come out in May and subscriptions and pre-orders are now available online. This year’s authors include Emily Simon, Garth Graeper, Marina Tëmkina, Robert Desnos (tr. by Lewis Warsh), Richard Hell, Claire DeVoogd, Monica McClure, Ahmad Almallah, and Hélio Oiticica.

— Matvei will read translations of Russian/Soviet avant-garde at Columbia University on April 1 (5PM) and at Kelly Writers House, UPenn, on April 3 (12PM).
— The translation series Matvei started last fall has two events coming up in the spring: Colloquy #5 (Translating the Caribbean) and Colloquy #6 (Latin American Poetry in Translation).
