Our experience at Civitella was exhilarating, enriching and could not have come at a better time for us. We arrived at Civitella having recently completed a cycle of site-related video works accompanied by an international touring exhibition, (Sound Speed Marker). We were ready to start a new body of work and needed a fresh landscape and environment. At Civitella we quickly fell into a daily rhythm of beginning each morning with a long conversational walk and in the afternoons we worked in the studio, a space which was perfectly suited for our needs. The people at Civitella, both our Fellow residents as well as the staff members,  have each in their own way, enriched our lives in ways we will never forget. It was an incredibly productive time for our work and we deeply appreciate the energy and supportive environment that Civitella provided us.
