Poet Jericho Brown (CRF 2015) was named a 2024 MacArthur Fellow. Across his three collections, Jericho explores contemporary culture, identity, American history, love and more through poetry that incorporates–and re-invents–the wide-ranging forms of pop music, Arabic ghazals, the Blues, sonnets, and more. The MacArthur Fellowship celebrates “extraordinarily creative people with a track record of excellence in their field, who demonstrate the ability to impact society in significant and beneficial ways through their pioneering work or the rigor of their contributions.” Auguri, Jericho!
